Water Skilz
Yesterday we spent some time at the pool, even though the temperature outside fluctuated with the periodic winds. My kids have now been conditioned to jump into the hot tub to counter the chill, and maintain outdoor pool longevity. Mitchell has been taking swimming lessons this year, and is getting pretty good at keeping his head underwater. I think that he is having so much fun that he has forgotten the he usually wears earplugs.
Maximus asked me if I can play "I come on strong" with him without putting his head underwater, to stave off the nosebleed he recieved yesterday from everyday brotherly roughhousing.
"I come on strong" is not really a game, it's just Daddy chasing the kids, but really tackling them underwater and then throwing them as far as I can. Kind of similar to how a linebacker hits the practice dummy. Over the past few years this is becoming more difficult, as they grow and start to weigh more. But the kids still manage to get a few front and back flips off of me still.
Miles is still very easy to chuck, Maximus ...not so much. Mitchell isn't at the point of throwing yet, but he is developing a similar build to what Maximus had at his age, so I have that to look forward to...
Kids slideshows on the right have also been updated.
